Field Technician  (post date: 2018-01-02)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company with extensive experience in the design, fabrication, and operation of water and wet waste treatment equipment for government and commercial clients, is seeking an experienced Field Technician for its make-up water operations at the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant located in Athens, Alabama. We are looking for candidates interested in being part of a team, who take pride in their career.
The Field Technician will operate and maintain liquid processing equipment including demineralizer systems, filtration systems, and reverse osmosis systems. The Field Technician will also maintain and use operating procedures, logs, and reports and provide day-to-day customer interface with clients. Minimum qualifications include experience in operation of water processing systems, practical mechanical and electrical knowledge, practical knowledge of fluid and material handling systems, and understanding of basic water chemistry.

Water Treatment Plant Operator  (post date: 2017-12-18)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company with extensive experience in the design, fabrication, and operation of liquid processing and wet waste treatment equipment for government and commercial clients, is seeking an experienced, Water Treatment Plant Operator. We are searching for candidates interested in being part of a team, who take pride in their career. AVANTech's diverse product portfolio includes traditional water treatment systems as well as specialized systems for selective contaminant removal. The company also has extensive experience in the design, fabrication, and operation of modular liquid and waste treatment systems.
The Water Treatment Plant Operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of an offsite water treatment system. Minimum qualifications include three+ years of previous wastewater operations experience, and valid SC Driver's License.

Chemical/Water Process Engineer  (post date: 2017-12-01)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company that provides water treatment products and services to commercial and government nuclear facilities and for specialized industrial applications, is seeking a Chemical/Water Process Engineer interested in joining our team. The selected candidate will be involved with all aspects of a project from concept through commissioning and operation.
Key responsibilities include preparing process flow diagrams (PFDs), material and energy balances (MEBs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Minimum qualifications include B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; minimum one year experience with the preparation of water treatment system PFDs and P&IDs, as well as the selection of process components for these systems; and demonstrated proficiency in the design of industrial water and wastewater treatment and liquid waste management.

Electrical Design Engineer  (post date: 2017-09-01)

AVANTech Incorporated, a rapidly growing technology company with extensive experience in the design, fabrication, and operation of water and wet waste treatment equipment for government and commercial clients, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Electrical Design Engineer interested in joining our team at our facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. We are looking for candidates interested in being part of a team, who take pride in their career. AVANTech’s diverse product portfolio includes traditional water treatment systems as well as specialized systems for selective removal of radioactivity, boric acid purification, and various contaminant of concern applications. AVANTech has extensive experience in the design and fabrication of modular systems to meet that end.
The Electrical Design Engineer, working closely with the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for the electrical design, PLC, and HMI programming of industrial water treatment systems. The design process includes creating electrical drawings using AutoCAD, determining system loads, supervising the construction of the electrical system, programming the system PLC and HMI, testing the system prior to shipping, and starting the system up in the field. Minimum qualifications include A.S. or B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering; adaptability to changing project requirements and schedules; ability to read and follow electrical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical prints; AutoCAD experience a plus.
